Central Park is offering a £10,000 bonus should any greyhound emulate Cornamaddy Jumbo’s 2014 achievement this year by completing the Springbok/Grand National/Champion Hurdle Triple Crown.
The Champion Hurdle sponsored by RPGTV and raised to a Category One status, has recently been add to the Springbok and Grand National already run at Central Park.
Track promoter Roger Cearns said “we are rightfully now known as the home of hurdle racing and I'm proud of the support I have had from our trainers not only in open competitions but in enabling us to introduce graded hurdle racing to our race programme.
“Now that we’ve add the Champion Hurdle to our Category One competitions, I think it only right that we highlight the hurdling Triple Crown this year with a £10,000 bonus that will be paid by Cearnsport Promotions to the connections of any greyhound that wins all three competitions in 2019. “This year looks to have thrown up an exciting crop of excellent fast hurdlers so it will be some feat if achieved and any Triple Crown winner would durely have very strong claims of being greyhound of the year too”
Ladbrokes are offering 20/1 that a greyhound lands the hurdling triple crown in 2019.
The Springbok starts on Sunday February 17th 2019.
